Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you play, we keep your answers and score so you can pick up where you left off. If you sign up for the daily quiz, we keep your email address and the choices you make about which emails you get.

Like most websites, we also receive basic technical information from your browser: your IP address, the type of device and browser, the pages you visit, and the link that brought you here. When you arrive from one of our emails, we note which email and which link it was.

We don't ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details, and we don't need them.

2. How we use it

We use what we collect to:

• run the quizzes and remember your progress;
• send the emails you asked for, and stop when you ask us to;
• understand which questions people enjoy and where they stop playing, so we can make better quizzes;
• show ads, which keep Trivia Porch free;
• keep the site working and safe, and fix errors.

We never sell your email address, and we never share it with advertisers.

3. Ads and cookies

Our ad partners, such as Google, show ads on quiz and article pages and may use cookies to choose them. There are no ads on the home page. You can turn off the sale or sharing of your information for ads at any time on Your privacy choices; you'll still see ads, just less personalized ones.

We use a few cookies of our own:

• Your progress, so your answers and score are there when you come back.
• Your visit, so we know where you came from (for example, today's email) while you're here.
• Your privacy choice, so we remember that you said no to the sale or sharing of your information.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see how people play. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the quizzes still work, but we won't remember your progress.

4. Emails

We send email only to people who signed up and confirmed their address. Every email has a link to change your preferences and a link to unsubscribe in one tap. We note when an email is opened from a link so we know which emails are useful.

5. Who we share it with

We work with service providers that host the site, store data, send email, measure visits, report errors and show ads. They may only use your information to provide their service to us. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect Trivia Porch and the people who use it.

If Trivia Porch is ever sold or merged, your information would move with it under this policy.

6. Your California rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to:

• know what personal information we collect, use and share about you;
• get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct it or delete it;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, on Do Not Sell or Share My Info;
• be treated the same whether or not you use these rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (such as your email address, IP address and cookie IDs) and internet activity (such as the pages you visit and your answers). Ad partners may receive identifiers and internet activity for ads, which California law can treat as "selling" or "sharing." We don't collect sensitive personal information, and we don't knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out. To use any other right, write to support@triviaporch.com. We'll confirm the request comes from you, using the email address involved, and answer within 45 days. Someone you authorize can make a request for you.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your progress and email preferences while you use Trivia Porch. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure we don't email you again. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

8. Children

Trivia Porch is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them; if you think we have, write to us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll also tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
